背景描述：结直肠癌细胞系 LS-513 于 1985 年从一名 63 岁的白人男性患者的原发性肿瘤活检中分离出来。他被诊断出患有位于 Bauhin 瓣膜的 Dukes C 粘蛋白分泌盲肠肿瘤。LS-513 细胞表达主要组织相容性（MHC） I 类抗原 HLA 和 β2 微球蛋白。MHC II 类抗原（未检测到 HLA-DR、DQ 和 DP）。TGF β-1 抑制 LS-513 细胞的增殖，而 TGF β-2 对这些细胞的生长没有影响。LS-513 细胞对 TGF β-1 的敏感性比 LS-1034 细胞系低 100 倍。LS-513 细胞具有多重耐药性（MDR），在裸鼠中具有致瘤性。

The second stem line had a modal chromosome number of 52,xY and presented M2 and M3 plus an isochromosome for the long arm of chromosome 1 called M4. A trisomy 5,7, a tetrasomy 13, and a monosomy 2 and 3 were present in all of the cells analyzed, the line did not exhibit monosomy 15.
