背景描述：该细胞是由BiedlerJL建立的两株神经组织来源的细胞中的一株（另一株是SK-N-MC）。与SK-N-MC不同，该细胞倍增时间更长，表达更高水平的多巴胺-β-羟化酶；常作为细胞介导的细胞毒性分析的靶细胞。
